It’s getting warmer fellow allotmenteers and time is creeping on! Only 5 days left to the start of spring and the weather is lovely! Okay, it’s March, we will might be hit by blizzards next week as this month is traditionally such an unstable one. At least this year (so far) has been unusually ‘normal’ or at least ‘typical’ of weather patterns decades ago before global warming started to bite.
Last Sunday, I was suddenly hit by the reality that there is very little time left for me to get my allotment plot ready for the seasons ahead. Not only do I have to ensure that the ground is ready for my crops, but that I have also planted seeds, sets and chitted my potatoes. Where has all of the time gone? I usually count the days to prepare and plant. This year it has all crept up on me unawares. Still no time for blogging – I’m off digging!
