Begonia happy James strikes again!
As you have probably already gathered, I do love my Begonias. For very little work they will provide a splash of colour practically all summer, will cope with semi-shade and can be stored over winter and replanted for many springs after.
Earlier this spring, I purchased several plug Begonias of the Apricot Shades range and they are already starting to present huge flowers in my conservatory. I can’t wait for the frost-free nights to harden them off and put them out into my garden. They are looking so great already!
Before any fellow Begonia enthusiasts rightly points out - that I should limit the flower production for now to save energy for summer – well I have. I am finding it difficult to slow them down; they are monsters!
This summer, I will be hopefully selling Rose Cottage and moving county to Devon, and what better way than to adorn my gardens with such a colourful variety (and impress potential buyers). Begonia Apricot shades is a real stunning and will out perform most flowering plants no matter the weather.
You can buy Begonia Apricot shades F1 from Thompson and Morgan from as little as £9.99 for 5 plants.

Especially prize my collection of tuberous rooted varieties, such as Begonia Apricot Shades, Non-stop Mocca, Aromantics and trailing varieties such as Cascading Picotee. Because of this, I always tend to store – as oppose to discard.
