The Potting Shed

Despite the rough weather this week; damp, windy and generally miserable – it now warm enough to start planting our bean seeds.

This weekend I will be sowing my runner beans – White Lady and also my French beans ‘The Prince’.

Last year I sowed far too many French Beans and ended up with a glut of them – many of them ended up on the compost heap. This year however, I will stagger the sowings – once trench per week for about a month. A lesson for us all.
