The Potting Shed

Viola allspice seeds hanging basketsA spectacular and unique mix of trailing violas, offering not only a breath-taking array of colourful flowers, but also a wonderful range of fragrances! Each flower small of this hardy perennial has its own scent and colour markings. You’ll have plenty of fun picking out the different fragrances amidst the avalanche of cascading flowers!

Violas for your hanging basket

You can plant Viola Allspice Mixed in hanging baskets and place them by your front door or kitchen window for an explosion of colour and fragrance. Although the seed pack suggests Spring/Summer planting, I happen to have sown my pack in late August and now have a lovely winter display to the front and rear of my house.

Caring for your Violas

As I have already mentioned, Violas are hardy perennial and will return in bloom year after year. To get the most out of your plants and prolong their lives and flowering time, remove dead flowers and trim back straggly stems to encourage new grow.

You can buy Viola Allspice Mixed seeds from Thompson and Morgan.
