Sedum u. Turkish Delight

Sedum u. Turkish Delight

An attractive dwarf selection, with deepest burgundy, almost black foliage and carmine-red flower umbels. Stunning in containers, borders or rockeries. Grows to a height of between 10-15cm (4-6in).

Sowing Sedum seeds

Sow seed February to June, on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Do not cover seed. Keep at a temperature of between 21-25C (70-75F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 14-30 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays.

Gradually acclimatise Sedum Ussuriense plants to cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost. Provide a well-drained soil in full sun, spacing plants by 45-60cm (18-24in) apart. Harmful if eaten!

You can buy Sedum Ussuriense ‘Turkish Delight’ Plants from Thompson & Morgan
