Sweet Scented Honeysuckle

Collection comprises 6 young plants – 2 each of (clockwise from left): L. x tellmanniana,L. japonica Halliana and L. periclymenum Serotina.

Varieties discriptions of sweet scented honeysuckles

Lonicera tellmanniana

Copper orange/yellow flowers with dark green leaves. Can be grown in a shady spot in the garden. Flowers from late-Spring onwards. Fully hardy.

Lonicera japonica – Halliana

Japonese Honeysuckle. Will thrive in full-sun or partial shade. Flowers from April to August. Dark ever-green glossy tapered leaves. Pale yellow flowers.

Lonicera periclymenum Serotina

Dutch Honeysuckle – a classic cottage garden variety. Will thrive in full-sun or partial shade. Flowers from late Summer till early Autumn. White flowers with red/purple streaks followed by bright red, translucent inedible berries.
