Hardy Gerbera - Forever DaisiesThe hardy Gerbera or ‘Forever Daisy’ as it is sometimes called is an ornamental plant of the sunflower family. It can be found in the wild across the tropics: South America, Africa and Tropical Asia.

Now you can grow the world’s first winter hardy gerbera in a rainbow of colours! Enjoy hardy Gerbera ‘Forever Daisies’ year after year planted en-masse in the border or in patio pots, or cut them for a fabulous indoor display. As the common name suggests, you can expect around 100 florist-quality blooms per plant over a long season.

An extensive trial ground in Ipswich grow more than 2,000 different varieties; to measure their performance in the garden. This year at a popular open weekend, visitors loved this fabulous new gerbera.

You can buy a collection of hardy Gerbera seeds from Thompson and Morgan. The collection comprises of 5 plants – 1 each of: Crista, Pam, Piroska , Rachel and Sunny.
