So, you’ve planted out most of your young vegetable plants such as marrows, courgettes, onions, brassicas, etc, but you still have a large gap on your allotment plot that is crying out to you to be filled with even more delicious vegetables. Well, there are still a few seeds that you can sow this during July to increase your yield and fill your plot!
Remember, July is a hot month, so protect young seedlings from the harsher effects of the mid-day sun with a little shade and don’t forget to water them! To avoid disappointment, check your seedlings at least twice a day to ensure the compost or soil is moist. Allowing your growing media to dry out will at least weaken and stunt your plants and at worst, kill them altogether.
