A few years ago, I put my 3 bed terrace home in Warwickshire ’Rose Cottage’ on the market. I decided to ‘up the anti’ and make the most of the small courtyard garden at the back and replaced my existing rolled metal hanging basket brackets for decorative cast iron. It looked amazing and I’m sure it helped sell my house quickly during the economic down-turn.
Ever since then, I make a preference to cast iron gardenware when ever possible – it never seems to clash and compliments just about anything that’s green and grows. If it was good enough for the Victorians, it’s good enough for me!
