Scottish SaskatoonsBy John Stoa - Added 29th of September 2009I have been growing saskatoons as a fruit crop on my allotment garden in Dundee for five years and due to the interest from other enthusiasts I now propagate and sell the plants all over UK. They were recently featured on our Beechgrove Garden TV programme when they visited my allotment at saskatoon harvest time.I have been in horticulture most of my life, (though now I changed my career to become an artist), but with a particular interest in fruit growing. I do not think there is anyone else in UK growing them as a crop, as no-one knows anything about them. They are a perfect novelty new crop for keen amateur gardeners wanting to try the next super health food plant. It rates very high in antioxidants, etc. Please check out my saskatoon page on my website at Scottish Saskatoons, or other fruit or gardening pages if you think they would be interesting for your website.
