Introducing James Middleton – Allotmenteer

James Middleton – Allotmenteer

“I have always loved gardening. I remember my father giving me my first packet of seeds (Chinese Lanterns) when I was only 6 years old. I must confess, they didn’t come to anything and I soon learned that to succeed as a gardener or farmer (my childhood dream), you have to at least remember to water your seedlings from time to time.

“My passion for plants grew and grew throughout my childhood and into adulthood, much to the dismay and sometimes inspiration of my friends. I can’t think of anything better than to ‘hover’ over the plants in my garden. It is the nearest thing to Godliness.”

The Allotment Garden Mission

“As a part time university lecturer, I really enjoy teaching. www.theallotmentgarden.co.uk allows me to write about one of the biggest interests in my life – gardening. The Allotment Garden is supported by 3rd party advertising, which allows me to free up time to continually add new content. Proceeds made from this website go toward fulfilling my life-long ambition: to one day run my own eco-friendly small-holding in Devon. “
